Home for Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving week! I flew home to Virginia on Saturday and am so happy to be with family. My flight landed in Richmond around 12, so my Mom and little sister picked me up and we headed to lunch!

Our first stop was Goatocado, a new-to-me place that looked delicious! I ordered the Californian and it was so yummy! Definitely hit the spot.

After lunch we headed to Short Pump for a little retail therapy before hitting the road.

We also stopped at the greatest grocery store ever, Wegman’s for some groceries. They have the freshest ingredients and unique items that I absolutely adore.

I got my hands on the newest RXBar flavor! Yup, it lives up to the hype.

After picking up a few groceries we headed towards the beach. I slept part of the way, so the drive went fairly quick 😜 We got home around 6:00pm and headed straight to my Grandparent’s to surprise them! They still thought I was in Texas and my Mom and sister were coming to visit me! I think they were pretty surprised!

After, we headed home and settled in for a Hallmark Christmas movie. Home Sweet Home!

For Sunday brunch we went to one of my favorite spots, Bay Local Eatery. Y’all. The food is AMAZING and there avocado toast is the absolute best!

After brunch, we headed to a holiday craft show for some Christmas shopping 🎄🎁 before going grocery shopping for dinner ingredients.

I made Laura Lea’s Cheesy Broccoli, Chicken & Pesto Calzone which was out of this world!  My pictures were not nearly as photogenic as her’s, but the taste was incredible!  I highly suggest y’all make this recipe ASAP.  Even my Dad liked it, which is saying a lot!  Perfect for a crisp fall night with family 🙂

Have a wonderful Monday, Friends!
