Happy New Year! I hope everyone’s 2018 is off to a great start! As I look back on 2017, it was a year full of tears, laughter, disappointment, and excitement.  Through it all, God has been by my side and I am so grateful for the amazing people I have been blessed with to be with me through it all!

Between completing my undergrad, beginning a dietetic internship, and being accepted into The University of Alabama for my MS, I would say 2017 has been one for the books!

While I am not making any New Years Resolutions, per say, I am excited to continue growing in my faith and experiencing what the Lord has in store for me in 2018!

Now, here’s some recent highlights since I last checked in…

I definitely rang in the New Year with some of this goodness 🙂 You guys…this chocolate is everything.  I tried this flavor for the first time and it is AMAZING.  I love them all, but this is my recent favorite!

#TopNine2017 Pasta + True Food Kitchen + Dietetic Internships + Spontaneous Nashville Trips + Green Juice + FNCE

When your favorite restaurant reposts your Instagram post…it’s the small things 🙂

Movies with my sister, brother-in-law, and Mom (sorry you weren’t in the pic, Mom!). We went to see Downsizing, which was not my favorite.  It was a little long and definitely not what I was anticipating.

Saturday slumber party with my sister and her puppy children 🙂  While they may be a handful (the pups that is. ha!), but they are so. stinking. adorable. Even though they woke me up at 3:30am, I watched some Grey’s Anatomy, worked out, and made breakfast/coffee…all before 7am.

There is something so comforting about being up before the sun and cuddling up on the couch with an oversized blanket and hot cup of coffee.

Side Note: I don’t know how to make coffee without a Keurig, so I basically ended up make water-flavored coffee.  Good thing my sister knows how to make it 🙂

Recent Eats From 2017

Sweet Potato, Rotisserie Chicken, Broccoli…simple yet delicious!

Crockpot Chicken Chili Chowder from Laura Lea topped with pico and a side of homemade corn chips.

Hot coffee from Starbucks…I think I am becoming a coffee person.

Blueberry Kodiak Cakes and Eggs

Spring Rolls & Kale Salad

I am off to help my Mom take down the Christmas decorations :(. I love putting them up, but am SO SAD when it is time to take them down. At least I have next Christmas to start getting excited for! #thisgirlloveschristmas

Have an AMAZING start to your 2018!!
